Coordinated Veterans' Care Mental Health Pilot

To participate please contact Tunstall Healthcare on 1800 424 514

The Coordinated Veterans' Care (CVC) Mental Health Pilot is available to eligible DVA White and Gold card holders with mild to moderate anxiety or depression and a musculo-skeletal condition that requires pain management.

The pilot offers up to 12 months GP and practice nurse support whilst testing whether the use of a digital coaching app can alleviate mild to moderate psychological distress for veterans.

The app will prompt various health messages along with ‘light touch’ cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) sessions over a six- to eight-week period. Veterans will also be asked to complete regular mental health assessments including K10, Pain Score questionnaire (DVPRS), Anger Score questionnaire (DAR-5) and the Pain Catastrophising Scale. These regular assessments will help evaluators to measure the effectiveness of the app.

The Pilot is currently recruiting participants in regional areas in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Registration for the Pilot is currently open and ends on 31 March 2019.

To find out where the Pilot is available, see a full list of eligibility criteria and access the fee schedule, please visit the CVC Pilot Provider page on the DVA website.

If you are interested in participating please contact Tunstall Healthcare on 1800 424 514 to register.  Tunstall is providing technical and clinical support to veterans and GPs.
